Search Terms
When a visitor types a name, county, or other lookup detail into a third-party search tool, that query is sent to the provider operating the tool. This site does not keep its own separate log of those search terms.
Messages
If a visitor sends an email or contact message, the submitted information is used to review and answer that message. It is not shared outside the organization unless a valid legal requirement makes disclosure necessary.

This site links to official jail, sheriff, court, ADOC, BOP, ICE, Alabama victim-notification, and public-record resources, including materials related to Alabama Code Section 36-12-40. Once a visitor follows an outside link, the destination site's privacy policy and data practices apply.
Advertising partners may also use their own systems to recognize activity across websites for interest-based advertising. That tracking occurs on the partner's systems, not as an official Covington County or Alabama government function.
